Rose Has Graduated!
Rose has graduated! Rose started as a PhD student in the Efimov lab in the fall of 2017 after finishing her bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. In the lab, Rose developed a range of bioelectronic devices, including the world's first bioresorbable pacemaker, a bioadhesive, and optoelectronic devices, which have been published in Nature Biotechnology, Nature Materials, and Science. The world's first bioresorbable pacemaker was even featured on PBS News. Her accomplishments during her PhD include winning an AHA predoctoral fellowship, a top 3 scoring HRS abstract, and the GW Engineering Alumni Scholarship. Rose was a leader of GW COMPASS and a graduate ambassador with the Office of Graduate Admissions. She finished her PhD in December 2021 and is now a research scientist at Stryker developing the next generation of external cardiac monitors and defibrillators. Congratulations Rose, we love you!
